Meet Dr. Chaekal
Dr. Chaekal feels privileged to provide the highest level of orthodontic care to the people in her community, and she approaches her treatment of patients like they are her second family.
She was born and raised in Korea before moving to the United States for her education. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at University of California Berkley. From there, Dr. Chaekal earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Columbia University as well as her Certificate of Orthodontics.
Dr. Chaekal has been an Elite Preferred Provider for Invisalign® treatment (reserved for the top 1% of providers nationwide) since 2008. She is one of a handful of women in the world to have earned this title, successfully treating more than 1,000 patients with Invisalign, and accomplishing outstanding results.
Keeping up with new technology is imperative in the orthodontic field and to Dr. Chaekal. She participates in continuing education through classes and seminars throughout the year.
Dr. Chaekel lives in Oahu with her husband, Dr. Michon Morita. They have two, beautiful children and spending time with her family is important to her. She also enjoys playing the piano.

Meet Dr. Jaicks
Dr. John Jaicks is a general dentist that is highly skilled in a wide variety of dental procedures. He enjoys making the dental experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
Dr. Jaicks was born in Cleveland, Ohio and is a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns. He attended East Carolina University, graduating with BS in Biochemistry. Dr. Jaicks graduated from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine. He was an executive member of the Alpha Omega Dental Organization on the International level.
After graduation, he returned home to practice in Ohio. Dr. Jaicks relocated to Oahu and has fallen in love with much of what the island has to offer. In his free time, Dr. Jaicks enjoys hiking, surfing, playing golf and disc golf, travelling and eating local foods.
Meet Dr. Nagata
Dr. Dennis Nagata was born and raised in Honolulu. He is a graduate of Iolani School. He was inspired to pursue dentistry by his mother Nancy who worked with the military at Schofield Barracks Dental clinic as a dental assistant. Dr. Nagata received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California in 1979.
Dr. Nagata founded the Hawaii Center for Cosmetic and Laser dentistry in 1979. Dr. Nagata was a former clinical instructor at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies where he helped dentists learn advanced and specialized techniques to help patients in need of complex treatment. He continues to lecture and present cases and participates in numerous post graduate programs.
Dr. Nagata specializes in Comprehensive Cosmetic Dentistry, TMJ problems, Implantology and Sleep Dentistry. Dr. Nagata also is a Premier Provider for Invisalign Clear Aligners. Dr. Nagata has served as a Clinical Instructor at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dr. Nagata’s expertise and dedication combine artistry and technology to give his patients a Smile that exudes Confidence, Beauty and Well-Being. Dr. Nagata is also deeply involved with Sleep Dentistry and is trained and certified to treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea using Oral Appliances and Nightlase Snoring Reduction therapy.
In 2018 Dr. Nagata was honored to be inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy. The Pierre Fauchard Academy recognizes dentists who uphold the highest standards of professionalism in dentistry and provide excellence in all phases of dentistry for patients and continue to mentor other dentists to strive for excellence in the dental profession.
